AGONY OF BIHAR- FLOODS
Dear Friends
You are all aware of the great human tragedy that is taking place in BIHAR due to unprecedented floods.
As an Indian we cannot just remain silent spectators.
Let us do our bit (even though it may very small and negligible contribution to this great human suffering), that our conscious tells us to do.
I had a communication from Indian Red Cross Society, Vadodara. They are collecting donations in cash and kind. This will be sent to Bihar Red Cross by them.
The urgent necessity is of Blankets, Bed Sheets, Utensils, Tarpaulins or plastic sheets , clothes of children and women,(only new clothes will be preferred). Old clothes in good condition, washed and ironed will also be accepted. Clothes may be packed in polythene bags separately for women, children and men.
*Cash Donations are also welcome.. Only cheques A/C payee, drawn in favour of “Indian Red Cross society, Vadodara” be sent. *cheques may be accompanied by the donors name and address. The receipt along with certificate of 80 G of IT will be sent.
In view of the above I call upon all my NRIPA friends to come forward and do their bit whatever they can for this human cause. Besides NRIPA members, they can collect from Neighbors and friends also..
This effort will be co-ordinated by Mrs. Pushpa Sikka.

We propose to hand over our contribution by 11th September.2008 I am sure all our friends will make their best efforts to do our bit for the suffering millions of BIHAR.
